We celebrated Trent's 14th birthday on our last full day in Phoenix. He was excited to have his birthday on vacation - as long as he had some presents to open while there, ha! His big passion right now is YuGiOh, so he got lots of cards or money for cards. We also got him a PlayStation 5 {he had to pay for half}, but we didn't bring that to Arizona!

Our activity for the day was to go to the Arizona Desert Botanical Garden. My parents are HUGELY into gardening and flowers, so I knew this would be a winner for them. I also randomly heard an episode of The Office Ladies podcast talking about botanical gardens and how highly rated Arizona's is, so we were excited.
Drew, our budding photographer, really had a field day taking pictures. Can you guess where her Christmas card pictures will come from this year?

You'll notice no pictures of Brent, Trent, and Paige...they gave up after 20 minutes because it was so hot, ha. But my parents, Drew, and I stayed about an hour total. We didn't see as much as I would have liked, but Drew's bloody nose that lasted 20 minutes was the nail in the coffin for us.

We let Trent pick lunch...sort of. He wanted Whataburger, and Brent said no to that, ha. But we found a fun burger place, Rehab Burger Therapy, and that's Trent's favorite meal.
After lunch, Trent's birthday money was burning a hole in his pocket, so we stopped by Target for...you guessed it...more YuGiOh cards!

And of course we had to sing to the birthday boy and enjoy some cupcakes...even though he doesn't like sweets and didn't eat one ha!
And that was how we celebrated Trent's birthday in Phoenix!
