We just had a wonderful trip to Arizona! I love being able to take trips with the kids and have lots of ideas for the future. One thing we keep laughing about is we have only gone west with the kids {Hawaii, California, Arizona, and New Mexico}, so we definitely need to get east and north!
We were gone from June 28-July 3 and visited Phoenix and Sedona/the Grand Canyon. My parents came with us, and we arrived at 12:30 Phoenix time and promptly went to lunch where I went with my work time when I was in Phoenix last September, Richardson's.
Another incredible enchilada meal!
We rented a house in Scottsdale, just outside of Phoenix, and it was INCREDIBLE. It had a pool/hot tub/LAZY RIVER combo in the backyard, a putting green, and a basketball court.
Yeah, this will do nicely for a few days, ha
Oh, did I forget to mention the slide?!
Our first full day in Scottsdale, it took a while to leave the house - the kids were loving the pool, but we hit up Old Town Scottsdale and walked around. It's such a cute little town.
Drew took a TON of flower photos, I think we already have way more than enough for her 2023 Christmas cards!
Being total tourists! {grin}
Why yes, we did take our kids into a bar for a drink.
And no, that's not Drew's Moscow mule haha.
Back at the house and more mules! {Photo cred: Paige}
More pool time wrapped up the end of day 2!
We had a plan to make s'mores, but it was so hot we didn't want to use the backyard fireplace, so we made microwave s'mores. Still delicious and a lot less work!
Chocolate overload!
Our 3rd day was Trent's birthday, so I'll pick back up in a new post to show how we celebrated our special FOURTEEN-year-old!
