Viva Las Vegas!

Our friend, Riley, who is also Brent's co-worker and also our neighbor turned 40 in early December. We took a trip to Las Vegas right after Christmas to celebrate. This was my 3rd trip to Vegas but the other 2 were very different trips: trip 1-when I promoted to Senior Manager in Audit, we had training in Vegas, trip 2-our friends, Cristee and Leonard, got married outside of Vegas but I was 28 weeks pregnant with Drew. So this was my first 'traditional' trip!

Obligatory airplane picture with Brent!

Not sure why this won't get bigger,
but it was cheaper to take a limo from the airport!

Our first stop after checking in {we stayed at The Venetian} was the Westgate. The Aggies were in a bowl game that night, and Riley wanted to watch the game from a sports book, so we rented a space and spent the evening watching football, eating, gambling, drinking, and just having fun!

My expression in this picture cracks me up.

Slots, slots, slots!

Day 2 the girls went to an exhibit about Princess Diana and the boys went to another sportsbook at The Durango. I won't post ALL the pictures I took from the exhibit, but it was really neat. They had several of her dresses, lots of correspondence from the Royal Family, all sorts of things!

Then I went insane and bought a pair of Golden Goose sneakers. Susannah had been eyeing them for easily a year, and I always said they were super ugly. Then Dez got a pair after Christmas and the dominoes crumbled, ha. Susannah went to buy her pair, and I found a pair I liked too. WHAT IN THE WORLD.

They ran out of regular sized bags, so I got to carry this bag back ha.

That night we had reservations at an Italian place and wanted to see the Bellagio fountain.

Fit for the night!

Dinner was AMAZING!

LJA Family!

Derek got an AWESOME picture during the fountain show.

We walked around the Bellagio conservatory after that.

We ended the night at a nightclub in our hotel. I was super grumpy and didn't want to go, but it ended up being pretty fun.

Our last full day we had reservations to a buffet {you can't go to Vegas without going to a buffet!}, hopped around a few casinos, and ended the night with a show, Absinthe, and dinner at The Palm.

The Golden Goose girls

Dressed up for Absinthe

Blurry picture but the only one of the 6 of us this day

Absinthe was absolutely incredible. It was part acrobatics, party comedy and overall AWESOME. It's VERY mature {so not for kids}, but we all loved it!

We flew home the next day back to our babies - a lot tired and a little bit poorer but ready to ring in the New Year and celebrate our Drew Drew!

I've never been to Vegas, and wouldn't want to gamble, but I think taking in the atmosphere would be so fun!!!
