Brent and I stayed up way too late finishing season 4 of Mad Men,
so I got to ring in my birthday right at midnight!
For some reason, we both had a hard time sleeping {isn't that what happens to old people?!}, so I read until almost 2:00.
My mom came over at 9:30 to watch the kids, and I jetted off to my happy place.
A pedicure, a chai, and a People magazine article on Channing Tatum.
My work team sent me this cute card - I work with the best ladies!
I picked up my sis, and we met a few friends for a pizza lunch. Yum! Then she and I did a little shopping on our town square and then had the most amazing dessert ever from a local snow cone place called Hula Cowgirl. They have something called a cream freeze, and it is magical.
This girl's nap 'do needed to be noted.
I enjoyed some time with my favorite little people for sure!
Our first Elsa braid!
Then Brent and I got dolled up and went out to eat just the 2 of us at a local restaurant, Gumbo's. {He wanted me to point out that last year he wasn't invited to dinner, so he felt honored to be included. #sarcasm}
After dinner selfie
When dinner was over we figured the kids would still be awake, so we went to a local bar for a few drinks.
When we got home, Trent was still up {my in-laws are so fired...haha...as if}, but Brent and I were pretty beat, so everyone went to bed very soon after.
And that in a nutshell was my very happy day!
