House Update: This is THE Week!

Y'all. Sh*t is getting real. We close on Fridayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

The house is about 98% complete. Just a few minor details to finish this week. I can't believe we are finally here! This week was a big with with landscaping, appliances, painting was finished, mirrors and glass hung, remaining lighting installed, and lots of cleaning. Verdict? I LOVE OUR HOUSE!

Want to come over for dinner?

Packing has commenced. Which is just the worst activity to try and do with small children. I told Trent 'If it's in a box, don't take it out.' because I have some partial boxes in his room as I try to find pieces to games, puzzles, etc. So of course tonight I find stuff on the floor that had been in a box. 'Oops, I forgot.' {Now really, I recognize it's unfair to truly hold a 5 year-old to this 'rule', but I'm going to keep trying!} It is easier to pack an apartment when half your stuff has been in storage for 8 months. It also makes me wonder if a lot of what is in storage maybe can be gotten rid of??? {Naaaaaaaahhhhh}

LOVE my fixtures!

Rugs, shutters, and new bedding is bought or ordered. We're shopping for a new kitchen table {so excited about this!}. TV purchases will happen this week by my oh-so-excited hubby. We're having to spread out a lot of the things we want to buy, but this is the 'must have list'.

Just about ready for us!

This week is going to be super busy, probably pretty stressful, but oh my gosh something we have looked forward to for close to 2 years. I can't wait to get in there - it has definitely felt like life has been on pause in many ways while we lived in limbo, and it seems surreal that we are really here. If you see me this week, and I'm grinning stupidly...you'll know why! {grin}

I foresee a lot of fun nights back here.

Sturgill Simpson

I told y'all it would take me all week to blog about our weekend!

Sunday after a great Easter service, we headed to Brent's parents for lunch.

In no way, shape, or form our best family picture.
BUT we were together! And I now have as many pictures in 2015 as 2014, ha.

We left the kids at Brent's parents after a great lunch and met up with friends for an outdoor concert. April 5 is our 'dating' anniversary, so Brent doesn't count it, but I do, so it was great to get out and celebrate 18 years together.

We saw Sturgill Simpson, and he was AMAZING. His sound is compared a lot to Waylon Jennings, and he can just put on a show. The band was awesome, he can flat out sing. Overall a GREAT time.

Before the gates opened... Soon to be neighbors!

My love

The whole gang

As we were climbing into the van we rented to drive us all home, Brent saw local celebrity Bob Cole and ALL the guys had to take a picture.

The Promise {give it a listen...isn't his sound great?}

You might recognize that song though because it's a remake.
Now listen to this. Fun comparison, right?
