Turning the Big 4-0
Brent and I both turn 40 this year. {I almost put an exclamation point at the end of that sentence but really felt that wouldn't be authentic ha.} We have 2 very good friends who are also turning 40 - and they are brother-in-law and sister-in-law. We decided to plan a trip together, and we're going to Costa Rica later this year!
It took some time to find a location that everyone was happy with, but I am really excited about where we're going - The Springs in La Fortuna. It overlooks volcano! {And was featured on The Bachelorette ha} My requirement was that I have more than just a basic hotel room to be able to spread out, and The Springs has a 5-bedroom house on the resort property that we were able to rent. Our 3 couples who have someone turning 40 {Allena* and Brent*, Ryan and Rhonda*, Derek* and Dez}, our neighbor/besties {Riley and Susie}, and Rhonda's sister are sharing the house, plus we have a few other friends who got rooms in the resort. We are going to have a blast!

We plan to hike the volcano plus several other activities {some contenders: zip lining, jungle horseback riding, animal sanctuary} and of course spend a lot of time relaxing by the pool!
We haven't taken a big vacation in a long time - we kept having kids which kept sucking up our money ha. We've already got the grandparents lined up to keep the kiddos, and we are so excited!
I'm sure I'll have a few more posts as I outfit plan {Susie already is ha but I need to get some weight off before I look at outfits} and plan our activities! I can't wait!!
