Movie Review: Isn't It Romantic

Allison and I went to our first non-Oscar movie of 2019! We decided to still go see something really sophisticated and chose Rebel Wilson's Isn't It Romantic. {grin}

Plot: A young woman disenchanted with love mysteriously finds herself trapped inside a romantic comedy.

Review: I would say this was about exactly what Allison and I expected. Was it ridiculous? Yes. Was it predictable? Yes. Did we laugh? Yes. Did we get to see Liam Hemsworth shirtless? Also yes! I would say if you like other movies of Rebel's {Pitch Perfect anyone}, you'll like this. Fun, mindless evening!

Paige-isms

Time for the latest edition of 'Things Paige says that crack me up':

We read this book called Good Morning, Good Night, and it's a touch and feel book that shows animals at play and animals sleeping. The last page is a little blonde-headed girl. The picture of her asleep has her in her bed sleeping under a blanket that you can pull up and down. Paige likes to tuck the girl in and has taken to calling her Paige. Well one time she pulled the blanket down and shouted 'Wake up Paige! Get up!'

She likes to help put her car seat belt on, and can do the top clip. Every time she did it, I used to say 'Ta da!' Now she calls that strap her 'ta da'.

She calls her rain boots and rain jacket her rainbow boots and rainbow jacket. And she calls potatoes 'topatoes'. I have zero desire to correct her.

When you ask her to do something she doesn't want to do, she'll say 'Just a minute'. And she says 'I'll be right back' when she goes somewhere. She also says 'Don't say that.' when she doesn't like what you say or she will tell Trent and Drew {when she wants them to leave her alone} 'Walk away!' I wonder if they teach them that at school?

One Sunday I told her we weren't going to church and she said 'I want to go see Jesus.' So cute - even if she has no idea what's going on!

She was with my mom and being silly, and my mom told her 'You've lost your mind.' Paige responded to my mom  'Where'd it go?'

She can be super grumpy when we pick the big kids up from school. She will often tell them not to talk - 'Don't talk to mommy!' is a common phrase. One particular day, she was especially grumpy with her siblings and started squealing in a high-pitched voice 'I don't like Bubba!' when he was trying to talk to me. We all cracked up and kept getting her to say 'I don't like xxx', until we told her to say it about her baby doll, Victoria. She didn't like me, Brent, either of her grandmothers, but she refused to say it about Victoria!!

She hasn't gotten in trouble too many times, so the concept of 'time out' is still a challenge. She will tell me 'I want a timeout.' I always respond 'No, you don't.' Well, one time she got put in timeout, and when I went to get her out, she was crying, and I was explaining to her why she was put in the timeout and we snuggled and she was still crying and kept saying 'You put me in a time out.' I did, Baby Girl, I did. Ha!

Brent has a game he plays with the kids where they hug on the couch and he pushes them over. He will say 'I love you, I love you, get out of here!' as he pushes them over. The kids think it's hilarious, and they love to do it back to us. Well, one night I was playing too, and when I pushed Paige over, she couldn't get up because she has typical 2-year-old ab muscles - meaning none. So she was laughing and then looked at me and said 'I stuck.' I died laughing.

She is just so funny! I love seeing the way her brain works and watching her learn!
