Jackson Hole Part 1

We took our family vacation right before the kids went back to school and went to Jackson Hole, the Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. We packed a lot into our trip and had a great time!

We flew to Jackson Hole on Friday, August 9 SUPER early in the morning. With the time change, we were in Jackson Hole by 10:30 local time. We kept our first day a little on the light side knowing everyone would be tired. We ate lunch in downtown Jackson Hole (at Jackson Drug), walked around the downtown area a bit, and then went to ride the gondolas in Teton Village. We were told numerous times to try the waffles at the top and they did NOT disappoint!

It was SO cold at the top! We were not prepared for how cold it was!

Yummy waffles!

Drew, our nature photographer, got some amazing shots!

We stayed at a house about 30 minutes outside Jackson Hole that was in Idaho. It was nice to get away from how BUSY Jackson Hole was and our house was wonderful!

We bought groceries at a local grocery store and had an early night the first night.

Sunday we went into the Grand Tetons National Park and took a ferry across Jenny Lake and did a hike up to Inspiration Point. Gorgeous, gorgeous views!

The ferry was a quick ride across the lake, otherwise you had to walk over a mile to get to the trail. It would have been nice to do that but not with 3 kids!

Everything was so beautiful!

The picture on the right - Drew and Trent climbed up part-way - can you find them?

We ate dinner that night in Victor {the Idaho town we were staying in} at a place called West Side Yard. It was a really enjoyable meal! There was a huge outdoor area and the girls played around with another family's dogs. The weather was great and so was the company!

More pretty pictures from our rental house!

I'll return soon to share about our favorite day on this vacation!
