I got to sneak into my mother-in-law's friend group and see Shucked this past weekend. I feel so fortunate to live in a city where Broadway Across America travels to-there are so many plays I wouldn't have been able to see and especially at this level of skill and talent.
Plot: A woman leaves her small town to find help when the corn in the county begins to die.
Review: If I had to use one word to describe this musical it would be hilarious. It's almost a disservice to say this play is about corn because it's about so much more {friendship, love, family, trust, challenging yourself}, and I loved it! Yes, a lot of the jokes were corn-y {on purpose}, but it was really fantastic! It was a little off-color, so I wouldn't recommend for kids, but for us adults, we loved it!
