#thattimeigeekedout

I have been listening to the same radio show for 12 years - the Bobby Bones Show. It started as a local show in Austin, and they went on the air right before I started my job, so once I was waking up early and commuting to work, they were my new best friends. The 3 people on the show were my age, and it was fun hearing their stories on air.

Fast forward 12 years, and the show is syndicated from Nashville, on like 60 stations, with 4 million listeners every day. It is one of {if not the #1} the most popular shows on the radio, and their iHeart channel is the #1 channel. I like knowing I was there from the beginning. {grin}

Well, the main person on the show, Bobby, hosted a charity event in Austin last night, and one of my dearest and oldest friends, got tickets and even got us into the VIP Meet & Greet! Talk about NERD ALLENA coming out! I was in Target when Dena called me to see if I could go, and I almost squealed. {grin}

Meeting a network executive, Justin the Suit

Meeeeeeeting Bobby!

Dena and I took a pic just the 2 of us because I introduced her to the show and she bought the tickets!

 I talked to him for about 2 minutes. What did we talk about?
Whole 30!

Dena and me before the concert started!
{Love what the Austin humidity did to my hair. Grrrr}

We had such an amazing time! So thankful to have such an amazingly generous friend!

And with that, I'm all geeked out!

How fun!

I love being in the know before everyone else. Back in the day, I used to listen to Ryan Seacrest's afternoon drive-time radio show on Star 98.7 here in LA. WAAAAAAAY before American Idol or any of the rest of it.

Our local station in College Station just started carrying his show about a month ago and I LOVE it! I had never really listened to him before but I have defintiely been tuning in.
