Grow Baby Grow - 2 Months

We had Trent's 2 month well check today. He got 2 shots...so sad! But he is otherwise healthy as a horse and growing like a weed.

Stats:
Weight: 13 pounds, 2 ounces (75-90%)
Length: 23 1/4 inches (50-75%)
Head circumference: 40 1/2 cm (50-75%)
Conclusion: A BIG boy!! :)

He is really smiling and talking up a storm - which I love. He also loves to stand up and gets frustrated when his legs aren't strong enough to hold him up for as long as he wants to be standing. He has started to grab things (his hair, my hair), and he loves his bouncy seat (and talking to the lion on the seat). He still hardly ever cries and sleeps for about 7 hours at night (from about 9-4) - yes, I know I am a lucky mom!!

Cloth Cutie

After mastering the G Diapers, we have now moved on to cloth! I think the cloth diapers might actually be easier to use than the G Diapers, but I love having both to switch between. Happy 2 months, Trent!! {stats tomorrow after our doctor's visit...}

Gurley Boys

Wednesday was my FMIL's (Fabulous Mother-in-Law) birthday. We celebrated with burgers at the in-laws' house. Brent's nephew, Branden, met Trent for the first time. So the Gurley cousins finally met!!

Funny

Conversation while looking at Trent:

Me: He's so stinking cute. I could just eat him.
Brent: I already tried. He wouldn't let me.

HA!

Tummy Time Gone Wrong

Trent likes to push with his feet during tummy time. He got a little carried away and tipped over...just a bit. {grin}

Miles

I haven't posted pictures of Miles recently, so look at this cutie! Patty came over on Monday to keep me company, and we had fun playing with the boys. He is a little over 5 months and weighs close to 20 pounds. My how time flies!

Daddy Day Care

Brent came home at lunch yesterday as a surprise to me (yay!), and I got some super cute pictures of him with Trent.

He absolutely LOVES to stand and wants to do it all the time.

This Sucks

Post-partum sucks. The side effects from the medicine suck. Not feeling like I'm getting better sucks.

Fortunately, my son DOESN'T suck. More pictures soon...when things don't suck quite so much.

P.S. - Mom, I'm sorry for all the 'sucks' - I know you hate that word.

Wordless Wednesday

Alternatively Titled: What Trent Does Best

6 Weeks!

I can't believe Trent is already 6 weeks old. It feels like yesterday that we had him, but I can't imagine life without him. Brent and I are totally over the moon about our little guy.
Trent loves to smile and coo and is such a cuddle bug. His hair is totally falling out making him look like an old man (but an adorable old man)! He is still waking up 3 times a night to eat but can go up to 5 hours between feedings (sometimes). I enjoy those stretches! He started sleeping in his crib last week (inside a Moses basket), which has helped us both (I think).
Something new we're trying today. :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

I am officially 29! Had a low-key birthday as I'm still adjusting to motherhood and just went to eat with the family at a local restaurant. The hubs sent me flowers though...which was a great surprise!!

Silly Pops

My sister and parents came over on Trent's 1 month birthday. While my dad was holding Trent, Trent spit out his pacifier. My dad put it back in his mouth upside down. For some reason it tickled my mom, sister and me...we laughed SO hard. My dad just figured as long as Trent was happy, who cared, which is true, but doesn't this just look awkward??

Going Green

I have been a little slow on starting my green diapering, but give a new mom a little bit of time to start to feel like her old new self again... Brent thought I had given up on my goal to cloth diaper, but I haven't! We started Trent on the 'g' diapers, and so far it's going great!

I love that it's almost like a monogram on his little bum! :) (You know I am obsessed with monograms after all!)

P.S. - It is hard to take cute/creative pictures by yourself, but hopefully I'll get smarter as he gets older. Could he BE any cuter?? I think not! Don't you just love his little beer milk gut?
