Wicked Sneak Peak

I got to go to a Wicked sneak peak last night with my mother-in-law and her friend, Kathy, and it was AWESOME! It was completely free, and we got some yummy appetizers and drinks (water for me though - bummer), then got to go actually sit ON the stage while the Producer of the musical gave a little speech. Then the actresses who play Elphaba and Glinda each sang a song ('The Wizard and Me' for Elphaba and 'For Good' for both girls), and then the evening was closed off with a Q&A session. It was so awesome, and I'm so glad I got to go. We also got goodie bags on the way out, so my Wicked t-shirt collection has grown to 4!! Can you tell I'm slightly obsessed?? Picture quality is crummy...but that's both ladies singing their duet. I found out tickets for the general public go on sale on May 16, so if you have any desire to go, you better get your order ready!! I CANNOT wait for August 18! (Although I imagine I'll have plenty to occupy my time before them. {grin})

Guess?

Guess whose baby is due in exactly 3 months? I hope you guessed MINE!!! He is still nameless (names keep coming off the maybe list with none really being added), his room is still an office, I still haven't started my registry (although Dena and I will fix that tomorrow)...but he'll be here in roughly 3 months... Maybe I should work on some of this stuff? :)

More Hail

My co-worker, Jennifer, sent this picture from her apartment which is right by where I was working yesterday. I already talked to the insurance company today, but I feel luckier than the girls I was working with yesterday - one has a cracked windshield and one has a softball sized hole in her back windshield, which you can imagine after seeing these pictures of the hail!!

Hail!

I hope everyone survived the hail storm we had tonight. I was at work when it started, and the noise was SO loud as the hail hit the roof and then busted through the sky lights in the building. My car is pretty beat up, and Brent heard the area of town I was in was one of the worst in Austin. I took some pictures on the way out of the building; they aren't the best quality because I was cold and it was still raining, but I think you can get the drift!

Spring has Sprung

I met my friend, Laura, in Brenham for dinner this weekend (she lives in Houston), and I was so excited to see all the bluebonnets in bloom along the highway. I was afraid we wouldn't get any this year because of our lack of rain. One of my favorite times of year is the beginning of spring when all the new wildflowers are springing up along the highways - especially bluebonnets. I am such a Texan!! Anyway, Laura also got some great pictures of her son, Ryan, enjoying the bluebonnets too. Happy spring!

Double digits, baby!

Anyone else notice only 99 days until Baby Boy Gurley's expected arrival?!?! It still seems like an eternity from now, but at least I'm out of the triple digits!!!

It's Not Easy Being Green

I got to spend a little bit of time with Miles on St. Patty's Day and had to share a few pictures of him in his precious St. Patty's Day outfits. I say outfits because he had a wardrobe malfunction and needed a new outfit. ;) He isn't really cooperating in any of the pictures, but he's still too dang cute.

Bump Watch - 25 Weeks

Latest pictures of the ever-growing bump! I had a doctor's appointment on Friday, everything seems to be where it should be. I go back in 2 1/2 weeks for the glucose test, fun times ahead! I need to get more creative with where I take my bump pictures...we'll see what I can come up with in the coming weeks.

Cuddlebug

While holding Miles on Friday, he repositioned himself like this. Patty and I thought he looked too cute for words.

Spam a NOT

Last night was our 2nd Broadway Across America play - Monty Python's Spamalot. I have never been a Monty Python fan, and this just solidified how I feel about it. The performers, sets, costumes, etc. were amazing, but I just don't find that type of humor funny. My dad went instead of my sister, and he laughed hysterically throughout the entire musical, but Allison, Lauren, myself and my mom...not impressed. There was a couple behind us though who seemed to find this to be the most hilarious thing EVER, so we were laughing at them...but that's about the most laughing I did. Glad we got the worst one over with, can't wait for the next ones!!!

Coincidence?

My family thinks it is so interesting that 2 boys (my dad and uncle) had 3 girls (my sister, myself and our cousin) who have had or will have 3 boys (so far). So crazy how that all works out - I wonder if it means the 3 of us will ONLY have boys?!?!

And because the day wouldn't be complete without a view of Miles...

Hope you aren't sick of him yet because I am completely and utterly hooked!
P.S. - Brent and I started an official name list...it's slow going finding anything that isn't automatically vetoed by the other person, but it's nice to at least have something on paper!!

Pictures of Connor

To mix things up and post some pictures of a baby other than my most precious fabulous nephew, I thought I'd share the pictures I took of Connor on Saturday. He is such a chunk compared to Miles but just as cute as can be. I can't wait for our 3 boys to be together this summer!

He Who Does Nothing

I spent the majority of today at the hospital with my nephew. He is so darn cute! As of right now, he is still nameless, but Patty and David have it narrowed down to 2 names, so we should have a name soon. No matter what they have to pick before tomorrow so all the paperwork can be completed for them to check out. My dad made a joke that if he was being named by the Indians, he'd be He Who Does Nothing because he's such a calm, quiet baby. He hardly cries! I got some more good pictures, including some of Hagan's baby boy, Connor, so I will post those tomorrow. For now, I'm off to bed. Getting up at 4:00 AM yesterday still has me all messed up. Good night!

Meet My NEPHEW!

My sister and brother-in-law had a HEALTHY baby BOY this morning!! He was born at 4:29 a.m. weighing in at a whopping 7 lbs. 6 ozs. {ha - I bet my boy will weigh more than that} and measuring 20 inches long. He doesn't have a name yet, and here's just a few pictures. We'll be heading back up to the hospital in a little bit, so I will post more pictures of the cutest baby boy!!

One very happy aunt

Look at that face! I could eat him up already.
Freshly bathed and a full belly makes a sleepy, precious boy

Update or Lack Thereof

I spent almost 6 hours at the hospital...during that time she had lots of pitocin and an epidural but no baby. When she got her epidural at 5:00, the doctor said it would be at least 10 more hours... So I came home to see my hubby, eat some dinner and catch up on some work. Hopefully my next post will have some great pictures of a precious new baby!!

On My Way to Aunthood

My sister's water broke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I bawled when she called, why wouldn't I? I'm eating lunch and then heading up to the hospital. Who knows when this baby will get here, but I'm not missing his or her grand arrival! I actually dreamed last night that I did miss it because my cell phone was on silent - that is NOT an option!! I will blog again once we have a baby. :) Please take a second to send up a prayer or two for a safe delivery and a healthy baby! Thanks!! Enjoy the picture of the 2 of us - I cannot wait to meet my niece or nephew!!

Cupcake HEAVEN

So I mentioned last week that I was waiting on Dena to send Elizabeth's birthday pictures. I just have 2 things to say.

1. For my birthday, this is EXACTLY what I want. This is a hint, Dena.

2. I will probably look like this after I get 1 fulfilled.

Cliffhanger

I might scream - The Biggest Loser is to be continued tonight - right as we find out whether no one has to go home or 2 people have to go home. I am devastated. (Yes, I realize I'm being a little dramatic.)

Friends

I had dinner tonight with a friend of mine from high school, Sara. I realized that we've been friends for about 1/2 our lives. How fun is that?? Just thinking about all the experiences we have been through together and all the fun stories we have to share is wonderful. Sara has also known Brent since they were babies (their moms went to high school together back in the Reagan days); it's just neat to have that bond with someone else. She's getting married in 3 months, and I'm so bummed we'll miss it (the one downer about pregnancy - no flying to Cabo in June). Maybe we'll just have to go somewhere fun after the wedding and baby boy gets here - you in, Sara?!?!

And So the Fighting Begins

This weekend I spent a lot of time on the internet - doing research on baby products and searching for cribs, bedding, strollers... I fould some bedding I loved, a stroller that was perfect, some cribs worth checking out in the stores. THEN I showed it all to Brent - as usual he hates it all. I even shared with him the name that I loved, the name I knew he'd hate, and he did - hate it that is. Such is life being married to my husband. Let the fighting begin. :)

Baby P

As promised, below is the picture of Patty and me from Friday. She's 39 weeks, and I'm 23 weeks. Aren't we just adorable? She told me that when she got that shirt she thought there was no way it'd ever fit - now it's all that fits! Ha!

Pictures of the baby's room!!
I think these little signs are precious. AND David gave Patty that Pooh in H.S. - how cute is that?!
