March Weight Loss Goal

My first weight loss goal post! This might be incredibly boring for everyone who reads this...and maybe most people will skip, but I'm hoping it'll be some accountability for me.

So...I have blogged about this before, but it's been awhile - I thought it would be worth recapping [quickly] how I ended up where I did and what my overall goal is, etc.

When I got pregnant with Paige, I was about 10-15 pounds heavier than I like to be, but there isn't much that can be done at that point. I gained my usual 40-45 pounds with pregnancy, and I didn't pay much attention to my weight initially because I'd just had a baby! I remember at my 6 week postpartum appointment I was about 30 pounds above my happy number and about 20 pounds over my pre-pregnancy number. Postpartum anxiety quickly set-in after that appointment, and the anxiety was so bad, I couldn't eat. Within a few weeks I had lost those 20 pounds and was at my pre-pregnancy weight {not my happy weight}. But then with the Zoloft I gained 30 pounds, so by the time I got off of it, I was 45 pounds heavier than I wanted to be, EEK. I lost 10 of those pounds pretty quickly but have yo-yo'd ever since then {2.5 years} with my lowest being after I did a round of Faster Way to Fat Loss in the summer of 2018.

At the start of February, I was about the same weight I was at my 6-week postpartum appointment [so depressing] meaning my overall goal is to lose 35 pounds before I turn 40. I also have some goals based on upcoming events. I want 15 pounds off before we go to our annual Dell Match Play weekend, and I want another 10 off before we go on a trip at the end of May {more details to come soon!}. Then that will leave the final 10 to get off in the summer.

As of March 1, I have lost 7 pounds! I'm happy about this, but I also recognize that means I need to lose 8 pounds before Dell which is in 3.5 weeks. That might not exactly happen, but I'm pretty sure I can make it by the end of March. I'll report back next month! Anyone need an accountability partner? Ha!

First of all, these memes are spot on. Secondly, congrats on the 7 lbs down! I do think 8 is a bit ambitious for 3.5 weeks but I’d also like to lose 8 by March 24 when we go to Florida (that would put me at 149, which is my pre-pregnancy weight, but still 20 lbs over my happy weight of 129), so overly ambitious or not, I’m with ya! Thirdly, I think we need some graphs here to visualize. I’m thinking a line graph (no actual numbers required) from happy weight through pregnancies, anxiety, Zoloft, to now. I’m sure you have these for you but as a blog reader I love them too! :)

Hahaha! I love Emily's suggestion of graphs. I think I know what my happy weight is (which would meaning losing about 10 pounds) but I seriously think my main body issue is flabby stomach skin (thanks pregnancy) and I probably need surgery to fix that (no thank you). Anyways, these memes are the best and I do like these updates.

I am all about "post my goals to get accountability" so I applaud you for this.
