Hawaii {Part II}!!!!

Our goal originally for Wednesday was to go to Hanauma Bay to snorkel. However, the process of going to Hanauma Bay has changed since the last time Brent's parents were here, and you have to get tickets and they sell out super fast, so we didn't get them for Wednesday. So we ended up deciding to go hike at Manoa Falls Trail. We did however manage to get tickets for Friday to go to Hanauma Bay - I was so stressed we wouldn't get tickets, it took us 3 tries to get them.

Fun little swing in the lobby - one really cool thing at the hotel was the lobby was open air - there were no doors! It was so neat!

Lots of pictures from the trail - it was just such an incredible place - so gorgeous.

The waterfall at the top!

Brent took this picture - it doesn't even seem real!

When we got back to the hotel, we went to the beach again! We were soaking in every minute we could!

Thursday started off slowly because it was raining and the kids were tired - we'd been wearing them out! So we let them laze around the hotel.

The hotel made a Thanksgiving cocktail -
a caramel apple cider Moscow mule - it was delicious!

There was a cultural center at the hotel, and we were able to go to the activities on Thursday - the girls made bracelets and then we learned a hula dance!

We took a walk to a nearby shopping center to meet Nana, and saw a heart carved in a tree. Of course we had to take a picture.

Our activity that evening was a luau. It was a really fun experience, and I loved the meal!

The roasted pig

It was colder than we expected!

The dancing was fantastic!

Friday, Trent and Drew woke up not feeling good, ugh. Drew did want to attempt Hanauma Bay, but Trent and Paige decided to stay home {Paige was NOT impressed with snorkeling}.

My delicious acai bowl breakfast - this was SO good.

How incredibly beautiful is this view?!?!

We didn't snorkel for a super long time - Drew was freezing
{it was VERY windy} and Janet had been before. But it was still awesome.

That evening we had our last cruise - a night boat cruise to see fireworks! We stopped at the beach one last time to take some sunset pictures.

Ugh, not feeling good :(

Snuggling with Nana

Saturday...the dreaded day...vacation was over. Womp, womp. We had another 8 hour flight ahead of us, but the kids did great once again.

We got home about 11:00, the kids were hungry and then we sent them to bed - it felt great to be back home!

Sunday jetlag!

This was such an amazing trip for our family - being able to make those memories with Brent's parents was just incredible. And the kids did so great - gives me confidence we can really take them anyway!!
