Drew: My Sleeping Challenged Child

Since Drew came out of her crib {right after she turned 3}, we have had a ton 'o fun getting that girl to sleep.

She climbed out of her crib right after her 3rd birthday, and we figured that was a good time to convert it to a toddler bed, but as soon as we did she FREAKED OUT and hasn't slept in it since. She cries hysterically if we try to get her to sleep in it. It's actually a good threat when she won't stay in bed - Do you want me to put you back in your crib? {grin}

So...

She's slept on the mattress from her crib on the floor of her bedroom.
She's slept on a pallet in the guest room bathroom.
She's slept on the mattress from her crib in the guest bathroom.
She naps every weekend in Trent's bed {but never asks to sleep there at night}.
She napped in our bed a few times - until she got a container of Vaseline and smeared it all over the place.

I love the picture where it looks like she fell asleep mid-sentence in her workbook - Brent let her have the pen and she colored all on her sheets! And when she's sleeping next to the toilet - that reminds me a little too much of my 21st birthday at Brent's parents' house! And of course sleeping while 'reading' Harry Potter - you know my bookworm heart and Harry Potter lover is happy!

She's now consistently sleeping in the guest room on her mattress on the floor, so I'm happy she's sleeping but don't understand her love for the floor!

Kids are so crazy! #amiright
