Movie Review: The Nice Guys

Man, Allison and I have been trying and trying to go see movies this summer. And between busy schedules and not being super interested in what's playing, it's been rough. But we were able to get together and see The Nice Guys at the dollar cinema.

Plot: A mismatched pair of private eyes investigate the apparent suicide of a porn star in 1970s Los Angeles.

Review: Allison and I went back and forth on seeing this. We remember seeing the preview and feeling blah about it. Then the timing didn't work to see what we actually wanted to see, this had good reviews on Rotten Tomato, was going to be $2, and Allison and I both like Ryan Gosling A LOT. We were pleasantly surprised! It was pretty funny, the plot was good {a little over-the-top but good}, Ryan and Russell were great. Brent said this is one he's interested in seeing, and I think he'll really like it too!

Surprisingly good. Definitely worth renting. RG has a MUSICAL coming out in December. Sounds like we have our movie picked for that month! - AP

I really wanted to see this but haven't gotten around to it yet. I think at this point I'm waiting for RedBox.
