37: Age Ain't Nothing But a Number

I had a great time celebrating my birthday! 36 was a great year, and I have high hopes for 37! It should be much easier than last year given we won't be having any babies or any planned life changes. {grin} I hope to maybe take some trips as a family, but other than that, I just want to keep on rocking this life!

Friday afternoon my parents came and took the big 2 for a sleepover {best present for me ever}, so Brent and I met some neighbors for dinner. Paige sat on my lap most of dinner chowing down on sweet potatoes and a banana. It is amazing how easy it is to eat out with one, ha!

Being super cute after dinner

Drew's little best friend's momma brought me some beautiful flowers!

Brent left mid-morning on my birthday for an out of town golf tournament, but before he left he went and got me Starbucks. So him being gone is why he isn't in any pictures.

Enjoying 1 kid some more and my chai

After Paige's first nap, we went to my parents. My sister came over with her trio and we let the kids play and I got to visit with my sis and parents. Such an awesome way to spend my birthday!

My sister made me an amazing strawberry cake with homemade icing! My mom didn't have a 7 candle, so this was us improvising!

Kristen and I had texted on and off throughout the day and when she realized I didn't already have dinner plans {usually I like to go out to eat with B}, we decided to meet up at a restaurant in between us that had an outdoor playground. Other than feeling like we were sitting on the face of the sun, it was PERFECT.

Only thing that would have made this better was if B was home.
{P is without clothes because she got them DISGUSTING eating}

God-siblings!!!

After dinner we came home, all the kiddos went to bed, and I enjoyed some chocolate, a Law & Order: SVU marathon, and a bunch of walking around the house to get my 10,000 steps, ha!

Love how you walk around the house to get your steps! Ha! How nice of Drew's friend's mom to bring you flowers. I'll buy you a movie ticket soon! - AP

Wow heading out of town for a golf tournament on your birthday? You are a good wife to not put up a fuss! Does he play in a league?
