September 2017 Reads

Okay guys...this was kind of a lame month. When you get done seeing what I read this month, you are definitely going to roll your eyes. Don't say I didn't warn you!

First, I read 4 books by Kristan Higgins. I hadn't even heard of her until September started, but I read another book review of one of her books and decided to try it out. Fast forward 2 weeks, and I'd read 4 of them. So they must be AMAZING, right? Nope! They're fun, but they're Nora Roberts-lite or the perfect plot of a Hallmark Channel movie. Will I continue to read them? Yes. Am I likely to find the best book of 2017 in them? No.

Then I spent the second half of the month plowing through the 4th Game of Thrones book, A Feast for Crows. Talk about the exact opposite of a Hallmark Channel book! I figure if by now you aren't reading these books or watching the show, my review isn't going to get you there, however, I love them! This book really started to show differences from the show, so it was really fun to have a lot of it be new to me.

See? Not really the best of book review months. Here's to hoping October goes better {for review purposes at least, ha}!

I'm all about hallmark movies! So I will have to check her books out! I'm on book 4 of The Selection series and *yawn* I wanted more of America and Maxin's story to finish after they got married. Their daughter is kind of a brat..

Kristan Higgins had become my new Nora, especially since I just couldn't get into Year One. Boo.
