So I cheated on Allison and saw a movie with some school mom friends. One of them was really excited to see A Star Is Born. I knew nothing about it but was definitely game for it because I think Lady Gaga has an amazing voice and was really curious to see how she'd do in a movie. I also knew it was a remake but knew nothing about the plot. [Sidebar: This is actually the 4th version and after the movie I read the plot of all the movies, ha!]
Plot: A musician helps a young singer find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career in a downward spiral.
Review: Man, I really enjoyed this movie!! I would love to see Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga win awards with this one. I don't want to say too much to ruin the ending, but this isn't the easiest or happiest movie to watch, but it is really so good. The music is also really amazing, and I've been listening to a ton of it on YouTube and am debating buying the soundtrack. Overall, a great movie but not a super happy one {just saying for full disclosure}.

This has gotten so much press! It’s one of those movies where I would normally have no interest but all the publicity has peaked my interest.
