The Inaugural Edition of Paige-isms - SHE SPEAKS!

It is such a fascinating process watching little humans learn to speak and how the grasp of language showcases their little budding personality. Paige now says well over 100 words and can put 2 and 3 word phrases together, and she is so adorable. Here are some of my favorites:

Anytime you give her water, she says 'ice' and she means it - she wants ice in her glass!

She calls rabbits 'hop'. So cute.

When we are nursing, when she's ready to switch sides, she'll say 'Other side'.

The monitor in her room can play songs. She calls them 'Daddy song' because he played them for her first.

When you ask her a 'yes' or 'no' question, she will sometimes say 'Nnnnnn-yes' - makes me laugh every time because I'm expecting her to say no but she fools me!

She loves to say 'hi ya!' out of nowhere - oh the joys of a big brother.

When I pick her up from school, she will constantly tell me 'No Bubba' or 'No Drew-Drew' because she knows we're going to pick them up next.

She calls water 'wat-ee'.

She is a little tyrant in the car. Always calling for a 'nack' {even though I recently outlawed food in the car...except on the way home from school for Paige because she will literally cry the ENTIRE way home} or a 'book'. She just has her hand up waiting for me to hand her whatever she is demanding. Super safe driving!

We read this book 'That's Not My Baby' a lot and each page explains why the baby in that picture isn't my baby, and the last page is a mirror and it says 'That's my baby!' Paige loves it. Well, one page shows a baby sleeping on her back with a blanket, and ever time we read it she says 'Baby fall down'. Cracks me up because it does look like the baby fell over.

She is such a character, I can't wait to see what funny thing she says next. {grin}

Aw I love when they start talking! I particularly get a kick out of ice. I love ice, Adam hates ice, and both my kids are pretty indifferent. So to hear someone so little ask for ice is just adorable.
