Baby Smoochie - 39 Weeks!

Holy smokes! 39 weeks! I'm a little off on my appointments since 38 weeks was on Thanksgiving Day, and I went to the OB on Monday and saw midwife Lisa. Everything was normal and trucking right along. BP was 112/64, urine tests were normal, baby's heartrate was in the 130s, weight gain was depressing. I measured 39 cm which seems about right since I was 38 1/2 weeks at the appointment. Lisa thinks I'll have another 8 1/2 - 9 pound baby - shocker!

How far along: 39 weeks

Size of baby: 7-8 pounds, 19-21 inches, a small pumpkin

Gender: I'm ready to know!!!!!!!!

Maternity clothes: I am down to about 5 things that fit, and the fact that it's been in the 70s this week has made me so angry!

Movement: Lots and lots! And it is so low and painful. I don't feel like Trent or Drew were ever this low!

Sleep: So, so awful. I actually dread when I close my eyes. I am easily up past 1:00AM every night because of insomnia and restless leg.

Symptoms: I've had a few contractions - nothing that has obviously led to anything, but it's exciting that something is happening!

Cravings: I am having a chai and a peppermint brownie cake pop most days. And lots of carbs.

What I miss: My self-esteem, ha

Best moment of the week: My 'to do' list is done! I feel totally ready for this baby. Up until now, it's been 'If I can just get xxx done...then the baby can come.' There is nothing left to do!

Worst moment of the week: I would say just how uncomfortable I feel - how low the baby is, having my sciatica flare up again, my feet swelling {although my sweet husband has been rubbing my feet!}. Overall still a very easy pregnancy, so I don't mean to be too complain-y or sound ungrateful, but the end does get hard!

And for fun, I met up with my BFF for lunch and we took a bump pic.
She's 25 weeks with a baby boy!
{And you can see my gorgeous goddaughter too - refusing to look up!}

Other random stuff: I got a new phone this week, and I'm so excited because it's got double the memory of my old phone. I was constantly out of storage, so the timing is really good for all the pictures I'll be snapping.

Belly button watch: Outie

What I miss: "my self-esteem" -- love that! I LOLed at your mention of contractions. I had really intense contractions at 38/39 weeks and then they stopped entirely - not a blip! - until I went into labor 5 days late. You can imagine how insane I was. I'll send lots of happy labor vibes your way!!
