Day 1 of a New Year

So if Day 1 of being 34 is any indication of how this year is going to go, bring it!  I had such a fun day celebrating my birthday. {grin}

First, I got to spend some time with these nuggets. Starting my day with them is just perfect {almost} every day.

Trent: Mom, I have an idea. What do you say we share your birthday. I will go to the store and buy you some Legos for me to play with.

Me: Do you want to buy them or should Daddy buy them?

Trent: Daddy should by them!

Kristen and I met up for a few hours and did Starbucks, pedis, and shopping. To quote her in a word: Perf.

Matching bestie earrings as a present from my bestie!

I picked the kids up and Trent's tune changed a little.

Trent: Mom, I've decided the Legos aren't going to be for you after all.

Somehow he did get Legos today? He's too smart for us, I swear!

For dinner, a bunch of girlfriends and I went to a hibachi place. I absolutely love hibachi!

Nothing like being sung to by a group of waiters!

The card Trent picked for me at the store today is absolutely hysterical and one I want to remember forever.

But him not being able to read makes the inside priceless.
